Poll: Have You Started Using WordPress 3.0 Yet?

So much has been heard about WordPress 3.0. Post types this, custom that, navigation menus galore, and so much more. Though, how many people are there actually using and playing with all these things, or is there anyone at all who even is? Cast your vote and let us know....
Poll: Have You Started Using WordPress 3.0 Yet?

Soon To Be Released

As you may know the release of the all new WordPress 3.0 is soon to be fully released, (though the release date isn't set in stone). It is the last Release Client (RC2) before it is set to be completely set free and publicly available for use.

Here on New2WP, we have been running WordPress 3.0 since the first release client version, and as for myself personally, I've been using 3.0 since the alpha version and through the beta and all. I can say that as I've watched it progress, and improve some of the quirky things some of the new features had, such as the first issues with menu system, I am really quite impressed with just how great a job the WordPress developer team has done to produce such a major update to what was already a great system for creating websites.

You can find some great things to help you get started with WordPress 3.0 around here too, in case you haven't yet found them. This list of snippets is a good place to start with too.

What Do You Think?

What I am curious to know is just how many people, that visit this site anyways, have already begun to use and experiment with WordPress 3.0, since it would be interesting to see whether or not people have started to adopt the new system, given the hype surrounding all the new features and everything you've been hearing around the WordPress community about the impending upgrade to the software.

Also, if you feel so inclined, leave a comment stating any thoughts you may have regarding 3.0, whether or not you use it already or if you plan to start once the final release is out or will wait until version 3.1. Many people choose to wait for the followup release when new software technologies are upgraded, which tends have many fixes for things which are found to be needed.

  1. I installed it only to test my plugin functionality.

I can't use it on my live site yet because there are thousands of members who would go mad if it broke! I have a number of premium plugins and added functionality on the site that all need to be fully tested before I can move up to 3.0 so I'm eagerly awaiting the final release so the premium guys behind the multi-database plugin I'm using can release their updates.

  2. @Andy Yeah I completely understand. If I were running a site which had a ton of members one that got a lot of traffic I would more than likely wait until 3.1 or later. Even despite having used and played with 3.0 since it was alpha, and just being fairly confident that everything would be just fine to update it.

It is surprisingly bug free and seems to work very well considering how much was done to it. Though, I haven't yet tested too many plugins on a 3.0 site. All the ones installed on this site do work just fine, but the more complex ones may not, which includes those that are premium.
