[Video] Using jQuery In WordPress Presented By Jim Doran
What's the deal anyways
You've probably been hearing about jQuery more and more. Well that's because it's awesome. I am not a programmer, at least not a great one. I try, but the fact is I am much more of a designer than a developer. You're either one or the other. If you are a right-brained thinker, and visual learner such as I am and most other designers are, you don't have to worry. Designers can learn jQuery too! I mean there's even a website that proves it, jQueryforDesigners.com, which by the way is a great resource to learn some stuff.
I recently volunteered at Wordcamp Boston which had several different presentations that talked about all sorts of things involving WordPress. One of them was using jQuery in WP, presented by Jim Doran. I was hoping to be able to see this while I was there, but was busy helping out as a volunteer. Luckily, all the videos are being uploaded by Kurt Eng, including this one. Watch as Jim Doran explains the power of jQuery and how easy it is to use with WordPress.
The unfortunate thing about watching the video instead of in person is that the code snippets shown in his slides are in red, and don't show up well in the video. You can view the PDF of his presentation here which includes the slides in the session.
Be prepared for tons of great tutorials and more for using jQuery and WordPress in the future on New2WP because it's my new favorite thing, and I have so much to learn and share.
Let me know if you have any questions in the comments.
